1. How old were you when you first started making music? It was my 6th Birthday when my parents bought me a teeny tiny Casio keyboard, it had little green lights above the notes to tell you which ones to press to play the correct tune. We took it on a family vacation a few months later and I thoroughly annoyed everyone by playing 'Greensleeves' over and over and over and over.......

I started playing clarinet in grade 7 middle school and continued all through high school. I started private sax lessons midway through high school in addition to clarinet lessons. My first paying gig was in a church basement with a “jazz” trio I started with 2 buddies. We made $10 - Total !
1. How old were you when you first started playing guitar?
I was seven years old when I first started playing guitar, but didn't really take it seriously until I was 14. I started as a “rocker,” but started getting into Jazz in high school and college. After college I played in all kinds of different bands from Jazz to Rock to R&B to Funk, and even was a television session guitarist for many years.
1. How old were you when you first started playing the piano?
I started playing the piano sitting next to my Grandmother who played by ear. She had her right arm amputated due to cancer and that was considered a treatment then. I would sit next to her and learn the right hand parts while she played the left hand parts. I started taking lessons after I recovered from a broken arm falling off a gym set. Learning to read music was never hard for me, it felt very natural. Today I’m happy I learned how to play by ear and read music in my background.
