1. How old were you when you first started playing sax?
I started playing saxophone at the age of eleven in summer school.

2. Who was/is your biggest musical inspiration?
I have many musical inspirations, but Grover Washington Jr. and Donald Fagen stand out as two of my major inspirations.

3. Where do you make your home?
I have lived in the San Diego area for the last twenty five years.

4. Do you have any pets?
We have two dogs, Walter, a French Bulldog and Dudley, a Newfoundland. We also have two horses, goats, two miniature pigs, two miniature cows and several alpacas.

5. What is the best concert/gig you have ever done?
It's hard to point out one concert, but I would say that playing with Huey Lewis and the News at Osaka Stadium in Japan in front of forty thousand people is a standout for me.

6. What is the best concert you have ever attended?
Earth Wind and Fire at the Los Angeles Forum in 1974.

7. Do you have an all-time favourite song or album?
Donald Fagen, The Nightfly

8. What musician would you still most like to work with?
Donald Fagen

9. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
A professional pilot.

10. What is your favourite thing about Vancouver?
The food! 🙂
