1. How old were you when you first started playing guitar?
I started playing guitar and singing at 12 years old. Played on my first record at 14.

2. Who was/is your biggest musical inspiration?
The Detroit City Music scene as a whole. In the beginning it was people that played in the neighborhood that inspired me.
Stevie Wonder lived a few blocks over and I went to school with children whose parents were Motown Stars or musicians at the company. Earl Klugh, Levi Stubbs from the Four Tops all living close by. I mowed grass for Motown songwriter Lamont Dozier of (Holland, Dozier, Holland) and his wife at the time taught me and my sister piano chords.

3. Where do you make your home?
I am always from Detroit in my heart but I live in Oxnard, CA.

4. Do you have any pets?
No, I travel too much.

5. What is the best concert/gig you have ever done?
1, 2, 3 Soleils with Rai masters Cheb Khaled, Rachid Taha, and Faudel. 1997 in Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris. I played Khaled's Record which sold 16 million copies.

6. What is the best concert you have ever attended?
There have been too many to pick just one. The one that shook me early on was "Stevie Wonder with Ides of March opening" 1972. Truly inspiring, as a young guy dreaming of stardom it was an awesome show.

7. Do you have an all-time favorite song or album?
Favorite song "God Only Knows" Beach Boys and for album I'd say too many to choose one but if I did, I'd choose Jimi Hendrix "Band Of Gypsy's" or Allman Bros "Live at the Fillmore." I can listen to those now and find something new to excite me.

8. What musician would you still most like to work with?
Tom Jones (Singer). I have worked with most of the people that I grew up listening to.

9. If you weren't a musician, what would you be?
I would have been an athlete "high jump" and or maybe an artist

10. What is your favorite thing about Vancouver?
I played my first road gig ever in Canada in Quebec City (1976) at The Electric Circle and spent 6 months traveling and playing all over including Vancouver. Played at a place called the Commodore opening for someone in the same time period. I remember seeing great art there at a museum. Great people and a beautiful place if you like biking and nature.
