From guiding their handlers through their daily lives to getting help when it's needed most, Dog Guides play a crucial role in the lives of Canadians with disabilities. By supporting me with a donation to the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, you are enabling Lions Foundation to fulfill their mission to empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together.

Once again, this year, the church will be transformed into a huge used book store.

It is known as the best-organized book sale in the area, and features thousands of gently-used children’s, young adult and adult books, novels, biographies, histories, memoirs, inspirational, craft & cook books, and much more!

With books ranging from $1 – $3, this is the perfect way to stock up on all of your favourite books and genres!

Adult hardcover $3, adult paperback $2, Children’s books half-price, so $1.50 and $1.

Proceeds support the many community activities that the church oversees.

Bring a bag (or box or wagon!) and shop for this year’s reading. Tell your friends and family!

Free Rotary Bike Rodeo in Memorial Park, Waterdown, on Saturday June 6, 9 am to 12 noon.

Bring the kids, their bikes and helmets, and let them test their safe bike riding skills.

Join us in The Neighbourhood on Saturday, June 6th for an “Open Streets” celebration on King St. W. between Cross & John  where the streets go vehicle-free and the community comes alive.
