  • Wheels 2025

We are thrilled to announce the return of Wheels to the beautiful Kelso Conservation Area. There’s an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the stunning scenery with the popular 5km trail route and our classic 25km, 50km, and 100km cycling options as well as the accessible boardwalk stroll. Along the way, participants will enjoy rest stops and refreshments, and we’ll celebrate together at the finish line over lunch.

By participating in Wheels, you're not only embarking on a memorable outdoor adventure but also making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex medical needs. Your support enables The Darling Home for Kids to continue providing specialized care and unique enriching experiences for these remarkable children and their families.

Together, we can make a difference – one pedal, step, or stride at a time. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or simply looking for a fun way to give back, there is a place for you at Wheels 2025.

  • Open Streets on King!

We're excited to announce the return of Open Streets on King in 2025!

Join us for two amazing Sundays along the iconic King Street route, from John Street to Gage Avenue, where you can walk, cycle, roll and play along King Street East.

This year, we've extended the hours to 10 am to 4 pm to give you even more time to enjoy the route and all the activities and entertainment.

Open Streets temporarily closes selected streets to vehicular traffic, transforming them into lively spaces where people can walk, bike, skate, and engage in various activities. It's a chance to experience our city in a whole new way, promoting active living, local businesses, and community connections.

Open Streets Hamilton promotes physical activity, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. By opening our streets to people of all ages and abilities, we create opportunities for healthier lifestyles, stronger communities, and a more vibrant city for everyone to enjoy.

The purpose of Open Streets Hamilton is to:

    Promote active lifestyles
    Foster community connection
    Encourage sustainable transportation
    Support local businesses
    Enhance public space
    Promote equity and inclusion
