Ancaster Optimist Club Catch the Ace!
The Ancaster Optimist Club supports children and youth in Ancaster and surrounding communities by funding learning opportunities, sports, charitable donations and a host of other initiatives. The club is operating a Catch the Ace progressive raffle as its newest fundraising project. The progressive jackpot continues to grow! The club needs your support! Please play online at ancastercta.com or visit us on Monday nights from 7-8:30 pm at Marshall Memorial United Church, 20 Gilbert Ave in Ancaster. Draws are held at Marshall every Monday night at 8:30. We hope to see you there!

Help the unhomed community in Hamilton and the surrounding areas with donations of items to 68 Second street north in Stoney creek. Donations can be left on the porch. The most needed items are; Sleeping bags
Coats hats mitts scarves
Boots socks underwear
Snow pants
Tents tarps
Flashlights batteries
Snacks granola bars protein bars
Nuts trail mix dried fruit candy
Notepads pens
Toiletries
Any monetary gifts or gift cards would be used to purchase items needed

Take The Plunge The Courage Polar Bear Dip will be back for its 40th year! Get ready to dip on January 1st 2025 at Coronation Park in Oakville

Coronation Park in Oakville January 1st* 12:30pm | Registration Opens, Live Music and Festivities Begin - All dippers must check-in at the registration desk to get their dipper & spotter wristbands and T-shirt - Live music on stage from Mike Whaling - Bring cash for the BBQ from Tin Cup Oakville or to grab a hot drink - Washrooms from Natures Call on site
1:15pm | Costume Contest - Prizes for best individual and best group costumes
2pm | DIP! - Stay dressed and warm right up until the Dip - Know where your spotter is on the beach with your towel and warm clothes - Wear water shoes or old runners (No flip flops!) and when you get out - warm your feet first! - Heated change tents on site
4pm | Post-Dip Party at Tin Cup Oakville - Join us as we celebrate another great event - Percentage of food sales go back to the Dip - Buy raffle tickets for a grand prize courtesy of Shoppers Drug Mart at Third Line & Dundas
*NOTE: Parking at Coronation Park fills quickly so head over to South Oakville Centre at 1515 Rebecca St (park near The Beer Store) and grab the FREE shuttle bus from Attridge Transportation. Bus starts at 12:15 and runs on a loop until the event is over

Inch Park Skating Club
Inch Park Skating Club registration is now open! First session starts October 18th at 6:10pm for ages 4-7. Second session starts October 18th at 7:15pm for ages 8+. This program will run from October 18th - March 7th. They are closed December 27th, 2024. Times may vary if the ice requires a flood. Dates & times may be subject to change. Hip for Hospice
Join Tragically Hip tribute band 50 Mission for a night of music in support of Stedman Community Hospice. This is the 2nd annual event to raise money in support of Stedman Hospice.
