Today, one in five women in Canada will die from the disease and 3,000 women will be diagnosed this year. Survival rates have not changed for ovarian cancer in 60 years. Ovarian Cancer Canada is the only charity in Canada to direct all attention and fundraising towards improving and saving the lives of people with ovarian cancer. Held annually during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in September, this family-friendly event raises vital funds to power ovarian cancer research, provide education and resources, and fuel advocacy efforts across Canada.

The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is the largest and most powerful event of its kind in Canada. It's the only walk in the country that is solely dedicated to transforming the lives of those facing ovarian cancer, improving the reality of life with the disease, and working towards a future in which the disease is ultimately eradicated.

The 3rd annual Mayor’s Charity Community BBQ, and it is a special event as we also celebrate Mayor Jim’s 60th birthday! Join us in honouring this occasion for a great cause.
